Children for Green New Nepal and Akita Campus Net in collaboration with Patan Durbar Square Conservation committee started a flower project in Patan Durbar Square since 2009. Initially the project was started with just 30 flower pots placed around the pond. currently there are around 500 flowers pots including trees, the water fountain has been installed, 6 wodden dust bins is placed around the square and benches as well so that people can sit and enjoy the beautiful flowers.
From the begining of 2011, Lalitpur Sub- Metropolitian City & Alliance De Kathmando has came together to collaborate on this project.
New Flower Project initiated at two another historical water spot around Patan Durbar Square ” MANGA: HITI” & “SAUGA: HITI, currently 100 flower pots are placed around, gradually more pots and flowers including tress will be added.
These project has been receiving commendable appreciation and support from the locals as well as GO’s and NGO’s. This Flower Project site has been one of the attraction in Patan Durbar Square for locals and tourist.
