One of the major comunity project of CGNN ” Comunity Compost Project” , implemented since 2008. At present comunity compost project runs at AKN Eco Club, Adarsha Kanya Niketah Higher Secondary School and Environment Section, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Balkumari. 100 families from Mangalbazar area are involved in this project, families collects thier kitchen waste on the bucket distributed by CGNN. Once a week our volunteers goes door to door to collect kitchen waste from families. nearly 600kg to 800kg of waste is collected every wee.
Nearly 500kg of compost is produced in three months, compost then is used in our Garden, Organic Farm & Flower Project in Patan Durbar Square. Remaining compost is packed and distributed in nursaries for sale.
